Pippa’s progress with the Slendertone

i’ve not used the belt again for quite a while! I went away to Scotland and my pads completely lost their stickiness. It’s amazing what a difference they actually make, as it was really painful to use the belt, i had to turn it off after 11 minutes of the programme! Annoyingly, being in the middle of nowhere, there were no shops that sold the replacement pads, so another week went by without using the belt!

I am REALLY disappointed by how expensive the pads are! £12.99! Considering how much the belt costs and you would have to by the programmer separately etc (which works out at over £120), to charge that price for 3 bits of sticky rubber, it seems a complete waste of money to use the belt. you would have to have a serious issue against going to the gym or doing your own sit-ups for the length of time it takes to see any effects from the belt itself. how negative of me! but maybe just being realistic for the average Jo!

I will however continue to use the belt – curiosity in Slendertone’s claims pull more than my arguments against it!

Week Two: Pippa’s progress with her Slendertone Toning Belt

I’ve been using the Slendertone belt for just over two weeks now – the time has gone really quickly! I’ve used the belt everyday and have progressed from intensity 40 to 75 and now am on programme 4. I did use intensity 80, but in my tired state it was too much to take! If i’m honest, I’m not noticing that much difference, which is a bit disappointing, but hopefully in another two weeks it should be a different story.

With any luck I’ve got a gym induction this week, so will try and add at least three trips to the gym a week into my schedule, so the effects of the belt should become more visible.

In my last entry, I said I was having problems with the intensity of the belt not being even on each side – I’m just really blonde and didn’t realise you were meant to increase the intensity for left and right separately! well, there hasn’t been a drastic difference between my sides, so it’s all good! No harm done.

Think that’s all I have to say really. I hope to keep using the belt each day and increase the intensity when I can and we’ll see if it can live up to it’s expectations!

Karate Kid’s progress to Slendertone System Abs

Another week whizzed by, continuing to use the Slendertone belt and increasing the intensity. I have moved up to programme 7 that gives a 40 minute workout which is less intense than programme 6 but say is for duration training. I will probably alternate between the two and try some of the lower ones.

I did feel some tingling down my left leg and must have had the belt in the wrong position to start with or maybe the pads are beginning to wear already after 10 sessions?

The stomach muscles certainly are working whilst using the belt but also the back and side muscles are noticeable. I am not sure if any results are seen as yet but I did a workout on my total gym yesterday and one particular exercise I do that involves the abs was a lot easier.

Pippa begins the toning trial with Slendertone Flex

I was desperate to try out a Slendertone Flex toning belt for several reasons:

- complete cynicism that they didn’t work, therefore very curious!
- I graduated last year and so now have no money to afford one myself
- my lifestyle has had a mad change from being a busy student, rushing between lectures, the gym and my even busier social life, to a receptionist – which is in itself really busy, just sat on my backside all day working at a computer!

At the moment I can’t afford the gym membership, so I try and walk most places, which is the only proper exercise I’m doing, along with the old sit-ups and crunches back at my flat.
I used to have a BMI of 17 (maybe a bit too low) but it’s now shot up to 25 over the last couple of years, and so it’s time to get it back down again. Apart from the random, inconsistent exercise, I do in general eat really healthily – everything’s homemade, never ready meals or take-away – just the odd bit of chocolate indulgence which every girl needs!

An huge appeal to using a Slendertone Flex belt, is that you can get on with other things whilst you’re toning – a massive advantage in a busy schedule. There’s so much I’d like to do – getting back in to my dancing and going to the gym, but other commitments come first at this moment in time.

I received the belt last week but didn’t get home until after 11pm totally shattered. In my excitement though I tried to read through all the instructions in my tired state and got the controller on charge. Initially I found it quite hard to get the positioning right, as the pads weren’t working equally on either side of my waist – something i’m still working on.

The belts intensity ranges from 1-99 and it recommended to start at an intensity of 15. So, always being one to follow instructions, I used level 15, but have subsequently gone up to intensity 55, where i can definitely feel it starting to work. It also recommends that you only use it five times a week and give your muscles a ‘rest’. At first I thought that was a stupid idea, but I definitely needed a rest this morning – may use it again tonight though. I’ve only used it four or five times, so I’m not expecting to see any results yet, but really hoping it lives up to my expectations!…

Salsa Chick steps up to the Slendertone Flex Max challenge

So this is it – the girl who’s never knowingly had a stomach muscle now has the Slendertone Flex Max. Very excitedly I opened the box and ‘prepared’ my Flex Max. Whilst normally being an advocate of instructions, I was so eager to try my Slendertone that I scanned quickly and just put it on (I promise I’ll read the instructions thoroughly before I next use it).

What’s my background? Well, I’m a Salsa dancer & teacher and whilst I eat fairly healthily, can’t resist the ‘cakes’ in the office and chocolate. I try and walk where I can and every morning do 10 minutes on a Cross Trainer or Total Gym (at home). I HATE the thought of going to the Gym and any exercise that doesn’t involve fun of some sort BUT having had a weight problem since the age of 13 have to keep on top of things. Also, I’m married to Karate Kid and he’s the epitome of discipline so is always on my case about what I eat and what exercise I do.

Some years ago, friends had a muscle stimulation ‘thing’ with pads. They tried it on me and said they’d keep it low as it was new, however, they had to turn it right up before I could feel it – not sure what that means but I’m sure it’s down to my lack of any apparent muscles in the stomach area.

Last night I put the new Slendertone Flex Max on. First it was a bit too high (I have a high waist so that’s probably why) – so I moved it down a bit so it was slightly below my waist. I tried to increase the intensity till I could feel it but it only went up to 4 – think that’s because it was my first time. That was for 20 minutes or so. Then after that, I put it on again and managed to increase it to 5 – this was a stronger feeling, again for 20 minutes. It was strange – a little bit tingly but didn’t stop me working away on a spreadsheet on my PC. J

I’m looking forward to trying again tonight – increasing the intensity and checking the position is correct, and reading the instructions of course!

Week 5- Stephen’s progress with Slendertone

I am continuing to use the toning belt, and beginning to see definition. I must admit to having a few days off due to movingmale-system-abs.jpg house but even this does not seem to have effected my progress.

I have begun to do sit ups while the belt is working (on the odd occasion) should I feel energetic enough. This gives me an even better workout which provides the muscle burn which only comes on through using the belt at high levels (70-80 currently for me).

More progress to follow on my progress with Slendertone System Abs.

Sharon begins to see the benefits with Slendertone System Shorts

Moving on to the higher level programmes as the time progresses is a little uncomfortable. It’s not so easy to cook thegirl_shorts.jpg dinner and wear the pants now.

I do however feel that there has been a definite impact on the tone and silhouette of my bum and thigh area, with the Slendertone System Shorts.

The only other criticism would be that the life of the sticky pads is not as suggested, which I believe is 4 weeks, I think 2 for them to stay really adhesive is more realistic.

That being the case I think more pads should be offered at the outset, or a multiple purchase offer price introduced?

That said I am definitely starting to see some benefits with the shorts!

Michael combines Slendertoning, Gym and Detox altogether!

Well another week done and I now feel more in the routine and have disciplined myself into regular Slendertoning Beltmale-system-abs.jpg sessions. This I think is the solution into getting results.

I have upped the level I am on to improve the results I achieve although I am aware that this is a marathon as apposed to a sprint and the results will come with consistent use.

This weekend I plan to detox completely, nothing bad will pass my lips, going to work hard at the Gym until I can do more and use the Slendertone Toning Belt at the same time. I plan to “feel the burn”.

I’ll let you know how this goes

Chris champions on with Slendertone System Abs

male-system-abs.jpgThis week I took the Slendertone system abs into work with me, I used it every day apart from Wednesday. I am now doing to programmes a day, starting off with programme 5 on about 55 turning it up during the 30 min session to about 66. Then later in the day I will do programme 7 which is less intense but lasts 40 mins, I generally have the belt on 60 for this session.

I normally give you a quick run down of weight and BMI, but I can this week as the BMI machine I use at my gym is broken, so will update you next week. I hit the gym on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday this week. I have now started to up all the times and weights that I am using, which I did find very hard on Saturday and can still feel the effects today.

Over the weekend I did have a few people comment that I am looking thinner, which is good, when I told people what I am doing they were interested to find out if the belts work, after showing them where I put it and how it works there were comments about the definition that I know have compared to the beer belly I did have. There is still some work to go though. I think I need to loose about a stone before I am at my perfect weight for my height.

Sharon’s progress with Slendertone System Shorts

girl_shorts.jpgI have been using the Slendertone belt for two weeks now. I have now got used to the considerable effort required for getting into them, and have been happily buzzing away while I get the dinner ready.

I have started to increase the intensity now, which does cause some discomfort initially as you get used to it, but you soon get used to it.

So far there is no great difference, but watch this space and who knows what another week buzzing around the house will do. It certainly gives you the sensation of having done some toning exercise afterwards.
